How much does your e-procurement solution cost?
MarineProvider charges an Annual Licence fee plus a quarterly fee per vessel, variable subject to the size of your fleet using the system and the anticipated volume of traffic. The licence fee is charged once a year and the vessel fees are a flat rate charge for an unlimited number of transactions.
In addition, we charge a one-off integration fee for the implementation of the MarineProvider adapter.
How long does it take to install?
Assuming the required licences and versions in your purchasing system are in place, implementation should not take longer than half a day.
Will the MarineProvider Solution interfere with my existing software?
The installation process involves adding folders and activating settings to your existing software, plus setting up your Supplier Database to link through MarineProviders technology solution. The MarineProvider Solution will just enhance your existing purchasing system.
What happens if it all breaks down?
MarineProviders system is constantly monitored and your IT specialist can get a tool in order to monitor your own traffic. In the event of a power failure or some similar disruption, the data sent or received is not lost but stacks up waiting for normal service to be resumed.
Where is all the information stored?
The original data is stored in your own software and in your suppliers software. It flows through the MarineProvider technology solution and the traffic movements are monitored as mentioned previously.
Do you capture all the data on your server?
MarineProvider captures the movements of each electronic document and can, for example, extract and offer analyses such as the frequency of use of certain suppliers and their success in being awarded orders. However, MarineProvider does not see the detailed content of the information send and received.
Is it secure, how can you protect me from importing a virus?
MarineProviders Solution is reliable and secure using the most current and secure https transmission protocols. In addition, MarineProvider employs the most powerful anti-virus software currently available.
How does my supplier receive requests - does he have to be logged on to your website?
Your suppliers receive an email notification with an RFQ or PO attached. They therefore do not have to be logged on to a website or download any operating software from us, they just need a computer, an Internet Service Provider (ISP) and an email account.
Can I send RFQ's and PO's to any Supplier?
Electronic documents can be send via MarineProvider to any supplier that has beforehand been mapped as your preferred supplier in your purchasing software and with MarineProvider.
Can I compare Quotations on screen? Can I split PO's?
MarineProvider's Integration Solutions with Xantic's AMOS for Windows Maintenance & Purchasing software and ShipNet's SNAPS Purchasing module both contain on-screen Quote Comparison and the ability to split Purchase Orders.
How can I be sure that the data has been sent out of my purchasing software?
MarineProvider sends an email notification confirming that the RFQ or PO has been successfully sent out of your purchasing software to the designated supplier. In the same way MarineProvider notifies you that you have a Quotation ready to import into your system when a supplier has responded to an RFQ or confirmed a PO.
