Xantic's new release of AMOS version seamlessly integrated with MarineProvider

Oslo, Norway - November 2001 - In joint co-operation MarineProvider and Xantic (former SpecTec) have built an integration module linking the AMOS Maintenance & Purchase software (AMOS M&P) version 5.0 with MarineProvider's e-procurement solution, resulting in a total seamless integration.

"Each customer that upgrades to AMOS M&P version 5.0 receives a complete
e-Procurement enabled version that contains everything needed to work seamlessly with MarineProvider's e-procurement solution. AMOS users do not need any special additional patches or custom configuration work done", says Collin Lewis, CEO of MarineProvider ASA.

"The customer will not have to leave his AMOS purchasing system and re-key information from one system to another or to an exchange website", says Collin Lewis, CEO of MarineProvider. "This means no additional software or training for the user, only a much easier and faster way of doing business".

"MarineProvider required a much deeper integration than the generic portal driver functionality in our e-commerce module. The MarineProvider integration module will give a better functionality to our customers and an excellent opportunity for us to grow our business", says Paul Ashton, Director - Technology and Innovations - of Xantic.

Xantic was formed as a result of a merger between three different organisations: Station 12, SpecTec and Telstra Global Satellite. This powerful combination means Xantic is the first company to offer a genuine one-stop solution for mobile satcom, maritime ICT and satellite broadband communications solutions, delivered to global customers through 29 offices and agents worldwide. With a world market share of over 25%, the company claims to be the leading provider of mobile satcom services via the Inmarsat platform.

MarineProvider, headquartered in Oslo, is a highly secure and neutral Internet-based e-procurement integration solution for the maritime industry. MarineProvider has offices in the USA, the United Kingdom, and Hong Kong, and has partnership agreements with third-party supply-chain, credit and insurance companies, as well as other complementary marketplaces worldwide.
