The Marine Provider system only processes data entered in the excel spreadsheet. If you do not attach the spreadsheet then your quotation will not be received by the purchaser.
Can I write messages to the Purchaser in the body of the e-mail?
No. Any text entered in the e-mail body is not seen by the Purchaser. Only details entered in the spreadsheet are passed on to the Purchaser.
Do I have to send an e-mail for every quote I submit?
No. It is possible to add as many Excel spreadsheet quotations as you wish to one e-mail. It is even possible to add quotations for different Purchasers on the same e-mail.
What if I cant quote this time?
We still suggest you reply using the spreadsheet and use the General Note to Buyer field to state you cannot quote. This will register that you have responded to the purchaser's request for a quotation and will assist the purchaser when viewing reports based on supplier responses.
Sometimes I see Error: Price is not valid. What does it mean?
This means you have entered an invalid unit price in the spreadsheet. The purchasing systems can only accept a unit price. You cannot enter 100 per litre in the unit price. This is invalid and will be rejected by the purchasing system.
Sometimes I see Error: Date is not valid. What does this mean?
This means you have entered an invalid date. Dates must be specific dates. Lead Times must be a single number. It is not possible to write 12-15 days. The purchasing system will only accept 12.
What if I can not quote on certain items?
You should still submit your quote and enter 0 in the Quantity Quoted field for the items you cannot quote for. You can use the Line Item Note to Buyer to add an explanation.
What if I do not send the Purchase Order spreadsheet with Accept/Decline back?

Do you offer Online quoting?
